Hey friend,

We have a ridiculous joke in our family.

Whenever we see . . . well basically anything while we are driving, someone will ask "is that my daughter's school bus?!"

Sometimes it's an actual school bus, sometimes it is obviously her school bus as she is getting off the bus. Other times it's a random vehicle . . . yesterday it was a stop sign.

To me, it's always worth asking.

This morning I told my kids "oh look, there's a school bus coming up on your right!" My son looks over his shoulder then immediately "MOM! That is NOT a school bus! That is a MAN!"

My hilarity is underappreciated in the car line.

My big two are in middle school now, so school buses aren't nearly as exciting as when they were in preschool.

Give them a school bus and suddenly we have an EVENT.

Which is why I love this little craft stick school bus for back to school season.

It's simple, it uses supplies you probably already have, and there's plenty for little hands to actually do.

You could also add student photos to the windows and turn them into a really cute classroom display.

And then, obviously, every time anyone walks past it you are required to ask:

“Is that your school bus?”
